Three Ways to Honor Your Body This Taurus Season
On April 20th, the Sun moves into the sign of Taurus encouraging us to *finally* slow down after Aries season. Taurus is a sign know for being grounded, stable, prepared, and reliable. Think about all of the new ideas that came about during Aries season, how can you put your head down and get to work on these projects? Slow and steady wins the race; Taurus season is not a time to achieve but rather plant the seeds and continue to tend to them so that they will be ripe in the summer.
What to Expect During Taurus Season
Although Taurus season will affect everyone differently, depending on where the energy lands in your chart, we can all feel the overarching energy of the season. Ruled by Venus, the planet of love and beauty, Taurus season is a great time to connect to the physical realm and move through life guided by your senses. This month, use your body as the North Star or guide point to help you move forward on ideas or projects.
How Can I Use This Energy?
Take time to feel grounded and rooted in your work, life, and all other aspects of your life. If you aren’t feel grounded, what are some ways that you feel safe and secure? This is great energy to build the foundation that will support you for the rest of the year. Ruled by Venus, the planet of love and beauty, Taurus is connected to the senses and often associated with being sensual and enjoying the pleasures of life. This is a great time to relax and take time to enjoy life for no reason other than the beauty of life. What are some physical pleasures you love about life? Get your mind out of the gutter…I’m taking about good food, a bubble bath with candles and essential oils, or wearing a beautiful silk blouse. Treat yourself to the small and large luxuries of life this month.
The 3 Ways to Honor Your Body This Month:
- Slow down and savor the moment
- Taurus likes to feel good and enjoy the pleasures of life. Taurus likes to be sensual and isn’t afraid to admit to like the finer things in life. When you slow down, you are able to truly take in the world around you and get quiet enough to hear what your body is telling you. Taurus doesn’t shy away from resting, which is much needed after the action of Aries season. Take time this month to slow down and allow your body to rest up for the quickly approaching summer months.
- Ground down through meditation and time in nature
- Taurus is known for being grounded and stable. This is a great time to build the foundation that will support you for the rest of the year. We can only begin building that foundation once we slow down and get clear on what we want. Meditation and spending time in nature are both ways to invite in more grounding energy into our lives. As a result, this can be helpful to give us a sense of stability despite what the external world in our life is looking like. For me personally, I find grounding in my daily routines. I honor my body through daily movement and nourishing foods; my mind through meditation and journaling; my soul through doing things that light me up.
- Tap into your senses
- Taurus loves all things that stimulate their senses. Think: high quality thread count sheets, a long warm bath, delicious food, etc. Take a moment each morning to ask yourself, “what am I craving today?” Let that be an anchor for where you put your energy for the rest of the day. Honor your cravings and the things your body enjoys. Maybe that’s a specific type of food or maybe it’s wearing a dress that makes you feel magnetic. Whatever it is, honor those soul yearnings and indulge in your senses.
What Taurus is Here to Teach Us
If there’s any lesson that Taurus season is here to teach us, it’s that it’s not a crime to feel pleasure. Sensuality does not simply include sex but it is a way of moving through life savoring each moment. Taurus not only knows how to work, but also play, and most importantly, rest. Take time this month to feel grounded and rooted in your work, life, and all other aspects of your life. Taurus asks us to get back into the physical world and move through life in a grounded, intentional way.
